Anyway, Joseph Gordon Levitt in the movie is such a believable act. Who would have know that he is really crossing the two towers of the World Trade Center, while in fact he is just inside a studio acting like he is also scared crossing the two towers? We all know that he is a great actor that even his fake French accent is believable as well. If you watch the movie trailer of "The Walk" below, you will know how scary this movie is if this was done in real life!
The CGI for this movie, I can say, is simply believable and astonishing as well, you will feel that you are literally walking on clouds as you watch it.
What's exciting to watch about this film was that Philippe Petit's life is not too simple to just watch without giving it your whole attention. You have to feel every moment of his life because the guy expresses his crazy shits and he is so damn serious about it. His dedication to his craft and artistry and his willingness to pursue this crazy dream of his are what made this movie cool and awesome at the same time!
The whole movie though is a simple tribute to the towers that were The World Trade Center. The movie is set in the 1970's so yeah, you will just feel nostalgic too about everything in betweens. Overall, we laughed, we got tense, we followed through, and we became part of the show as well. We saw it on IMAX so yeah, everything is surreal. One of the best IMAX experiences I had in years!
I give "The Walk" a 9 out of 10 movie experience because of the mix emotions we felt while watching on the big screen. Too bad IMAX may not be available soon at your home so watching it on DVD or Blu-Ray will have not the same experience. Even still, Joseph Gordon Levitt is the legit man to be focused on in this film. The story is great and the acting as well. Like what they say after a show, let me also say "Bravo!"
